A brief history

1995

Founded by Richard Lapointe, we opened our doors as Ergo Assist in 1995, to employers like you who believe in implementing workplace safety in order to prevent injuries from occurring.

2013

In 2013 we joined Liftsafe Group of Companies, a move which has allowed for us to better leverage our years of experience in engineering, fabrication and installation of a number of products. The combined experience of our senior management team now spans close to 70 years, not to mention the skilled and trained expertise of our design engineers, sales staff, site auditors, safety inspectors and ergonomic specialists.

2023

To better serve our clients R & D Ergo merged service and sales support with our sister company Liftsafe Engineering and Service Group. This allowed for additional support, dedicated customer service teams, and a single point of accounting/billing for our clients.

R&D Ergo provided and successfully installed a custom built floor mounted jib crane for a high tech customer in Mississagua. The customer was very impressed with how well in the install went and were very pleased with how well the system works.

We recently installed a Rotacaster Conveyor Transfer Table at our Guelph, Ontario plant to assist in the movement of our products. Our staff have reported a drastic decrease in the effort required to move our products and they now move down the line faster! We will be looking to install more of the Rotacaster products throughout our other locations!

The ergonomic solutions R&D has provided us over the years have been an integral part of ensuring our employees are safe. From design to install, working with the R&D team has been easy and made a significant impact on the way we do business.
